DCD update:
We will bring you up to date with changes to the standards.
The majority of the NEW EN 50600-2 series European data centre standard has now been published.
We will discuss some of the key elements of it and how it differs from TIA942.
We will provide schematic design examples of DX and chilled water cooling systems to show the differences between designs intended to meet the four Tiers, Classes and Ratings of data centres.
We will clarify some of the issues concerning designing cable containment systems for the computer room.
We will explain the fundamental differences which affect the layout of IT versus Telecoms equipment rooms and discuss where the convergence of the two is likely to take us.
We will recap on the most important principles of data centre design and clarify some of the most common areas of confusion.
We will discuss the benefits of BMS and DCIM systems and the best approach to implementation of them.
DCOM update:
We will give you a comprehensive run through the processes and procedures recommended by the new draft European standard EN 50600-3-1 for Data Centre Operations and Management.
We will supplement this with our practical experience in assisting clients in accepting new data centres into service and helping to improve their operational documentation and processes.
We will discuss the key operational parameters which need to be understood to manage your data centre effectively.
