Kannegieter complies with the strictest quality standards, which is confirmed by various certifications and accreditations, such as ISO 9001 and Ecovadis Silver. Our cabling systems also meet all current standards and norms, such as ISO, IEC, and CENELEC.
In 2001, we obtained the ISO 9001 certification for our Dutch and Belgian branches. This standard is the globally recognized norm in the field of quality management and demonstrates that we prioritize the needs of our customers, the involvement of our people, high quality, and continuous improvement of processes and services. The certification is renewed annually, and in 2018, we obtained the Quality Management System Certification ISO 9001:2015.
Kannegieter participates in the standards committee of the Royal Dutch Standardization Institute (NEN) and contributes to the content of European standards. We are part of the NEN standards committee 381039 “Data centers and computer rooms,” in which we share our expertise in network cabling. The most important standards series we contribute to is the European EN 50600 for the sustainable and energy-efficient design of data centers and server rooms, covering everything from strategy to KPIs, best practices, and management. The NEN standards committee works closely with the European CENELEC and ISO/IEC, keeping us well informed of new standards and norm developments.
As an organization, we focus on a healthy business operation. Protecting people and the environment is an important part of our strategy and processes. To keep the earth livable for future generations, we invest in sustainable and fair procurement, efficient deliveries (without packaging materials), sustainable waste management, and energy and CO2 reduction. We also invest in sustainable customer, supplier, and employee relationships. In the fall of 2023, these efforts were rewarded with an Ecovadis Silver certification, placing Kannegieter in the top 25% of all suppliers evaluated by Ecovadis worldwide.
